Step-by-step guide

Xfinity On Campus Overview 

 

Xfinity On Campus is available to all registered students living on campus. For full access, students must be connected to the campus network. Third party hotspots will only allow access to TV GO (Tveverywhere) content. VPN is not allowed per contract.  

XOC will only work on Windows OS 7,8, or 10.  

Supported Web Browsers – Google Chrome 31 or later, Microsoft Edge (Windows 10), Internet Explorer 11 or later, Firefox 24 or later.  

 

Getting Started: 

Students can access XOC through 2 different methods, either the web or the Xfinity Stream app.  

 

Via the web – 1. Go to xfinityoncampus.com 

  1. Type or select Westminster University from the drop down list.  
  2. Log into the authentication page using your Westminster credentials. (username@westminsteru.edu)
  3. Students will be directed to the XOC portal where they can start watching live TV. 

 

Via the Xfinity Stream app - 1. Download the Xfinity Stream app.  

  1. Select XOC Student sign in. 
  2. Type or select Westminster University from the drop down list.  
  3. Log into the authentication page using your Westminster credentials. (username@westminsteru.edu)
  4. Students will be directed to the XOC portal where they can start watching live TV.

(Xfinity Stream App is supported on iOS 9 or higher and Android 4.1 or higher.) 

 

Chromecast: 1. Open Xfinity Stream app and sign into your University.  

  1. Tap the Cast icon on the header section of the app.  
  2. You will see all your available devices that are connected to Chromecast and ready to cast. Tap a device.
  3. Once you’re connected the Cast icon will be solid. 
  4. Select a program to cast to your Chromecast device.

 

Common Error Messages - FEDX10001 – Student ID is not returning a campus housing attribute.  

Error 120005 – Too many concurrent streams. 

Error: “Attempting to Resume” – Interruption in internet connection.  

Error License Issue :: 3338 (1000942) – Trying to use Apple Airplay (not supported)  

“Available to watch on campus only” – Connected to unknown network/IP range.
