Type “Display Settings” into the Start search bar.
You can reorder your screens by dragging around the rectangles that represent your Windows laptop screen and monitor. If you are unsure which is which, you can click "Identify".
You can also change the resolution and scale of your screens on this page by changing those dropdown boxes. You can try out several to see which you like best. You always have the option to "revert back" to the original resolution/scale.
You change whether you would like the screens to be duplicated or extended (have the same content on both your Windows and monitor or have them act as two separate screens).
You can shut your Windows laptop and just work off of your monitor. If you shut your laptop while signed it, it might lock the screen and put the Windows to sleep. You can click the mouse or press the space bar a couple times to wake it back up.
