How to Adjustment Projector Screen Height Stops

The article will tell you how to adjust the up-and-down height stops for screens and blinds. Most of the screens on campus are adjusted with hex screws. There are two hex screws used for adjustments. For room B24 in Gore, the screen has a yellow hex screw and a white hex screw. The Yellow controls the up-stop, and the white controls the down-stop. This should be the same for most screens on campus.

There is no color standard for the hex screws. So you might see screws of various colors and types.

Some screens use buttons or “in-wall panels” instead of screws for adjustment. These instructions should work for the other types, but instead of turning a screw, it's pressing a button.

 Instructions

  1. Locate the stop screws located on the opposite side of the motor. They might be behind a rubber plug inside of the housing.

  2. Once you locate the two screws, use a hex wrench to adjust the screws. Clockwise will raise it, and counterclockwise will lower the stop.

  3. As you adjust the screws, you should see the screen adjust itself in real-time. If the screen does not adjust in real-time, it should be about 1-2 inches per full turn of the screw. Continue to adjust the screws until the screen is where you want it.

  4. Finally, raise and drop the screen a few times with the projector on to be sure the screws are set correctly.
