What kind of support can I receive regarding these services?
Information Services (IS) will only investigate the users that are flagged by Microsoft (Azure) and is not responsible for any other investigation unless asked by a user. If we need help during these investigations we can reach out to Microsoft support as this support is included in our enterprise license agreement. IS team members are tasked with a daily task of going in and checking risky users, those members are responsible for locking accounts, changing, passwords, or initiating more investigation. At this time users are not notified but will often notice a change to their account as they will not be able to log in. IS members use multiple factors to determine how to handle risky users, some of them are:
- Time of day
- Location
- IP addresses
- Multiple attempts
- Failure type
