Services available:
- The Westminster University core is how everything makes it out to the internet through a fiber connection provided by UEN.
- Firewall is in place to try to stop malicious attacks from outside the University.
- Fiber connections are made from building to building to ensure faster and better connections.
What kind of support can I receive regarding these services?
- Updated through Jira of emergency internet outages
- Emails prior to planned outages for upgrades or other services
Basic troubleshooting?
The core is maintained, monitored, and supported by Information Services (IS). IS doesn't expect their users to troubleshoot a problem with the core, however, we would like our users to notify us when they are seeing behaviors like:
- No internet (WiFi or ethernet)
- LAN network failures
- Connections to printers failing
- Intermittent connection issues
