The Westminster University core is how everything makes it out to the internet through a fiber connection provided by UEN.
Firewall is in place to try to stop malicious attacks from outside the University.
Fiber connections are made from building to building to ensure faster and better connections.
What kind of support can I receive regarding these services?
Updated through Jira of emergency internet outages
Emails prior to planned outages for upgrades or other services
Basic troubleshooting?
The core is maintained, monitored, and supported by Information Services (IS). IS doesn't expect their users to troubleshoot a problem with the core, however, we would like our users to notify us when they are seeing behaviors like:
No internet (WiFi or ethernet)
LAN network failures
Connections to printers failing
Intermittent connection issues
