Services available:

  • System Center - Currently the University uses an application called System Center. System Center allows us to remotely install applications that are requested in any location with PC. 
    • The IS department uses System Center when faculty members request software. Every year/semester, the IS department will send an email asking what academic software the campus community plans to use. The IS team will use System Center to fulfill those requests. It is important that the campus community requests software at least once a year.

What kind of support can I receive regarding these services?

  • Collect application requests 
  • Set up the remote install and verify it was installed 
  • Installation of System Center on PC machines
  • Apply updates and maintain the System Center server 

Basic troubleshooting?

  • Is System Center running on your computer?
  • Was an application requested? 
  • Has the computer named changed?
  • Does the University own the software? 
  • Review knowledge-based (KB) articles provided by IS
