Services available:

Every full time faculty and staff member is supplied with a desk phone in their office location. The IS department will provide you with a:

  • On-campus extension
  • External phone number
  • Long distance code
  • Voicemail box
  • Initial voicemail pin

The College provides several different phone models, some models allow multuple lines and/or speed dials. The IS department is responsible for setting up those lines for our users.  

What kind of support can I receive regarding these services?

  • Resetting voicemail pins 
  • reassigning extensions 
  • reprogramming phones 
  • Replacing broken phones, handhelds, and cords
  • Activation of port to plug phone in 
  • Troubleshooting issues, such as not being able to hear the other person, not being heard, calls dropping, etc. 

Basic Trouble shooting?

  • Verify phone is plugged directly into the wall 
  • Verify the number you are calling
    • Is it correct?
    • Are you dailing 9 to get off campus? 
    • Is it long distance?
  • Verify all phone equipment is connected correctly 
  • Review knowledge-based (KB) articles provided by IS
