There are two ways to connect to network file shares

  • Blue Globe: if there is a blue globe in your dock just click on it to initialize a connection with the file share. These are pre-configured by the IS department.
  • Finder > Go > Connect to Server , Or you can do  Command + K then type in the address to the folder you are attempting to navigate to (capitalization and spelling matter). These are customized and the 5 most recent addresses you travel to this way are saved on your computer.
    • Examples:
      • smb://files.wcusers.int/Staff/insert your user name here
      • smb://files.wcusers.int/Dept/USR/Shared
      • smb://media.wcusers.int/
