How to Cross-List/"Merge" Courses in Canvas

If you have multiple sections of the same course, you can cross-list them within Canvas.

  1. Copy the SIS ID of the parent course (this can be found in the course Settings).

  2. Go into the child course and then into Settings.

  3. Go to the Section tab.

  4. Click on the course name/link.

  5. Click on the Cross-List this Section button on the righthand side.

  6. Enter the SIS ID of the parent course.

  7. Click the Cross-List This Section.
