Currently the university uses JAMF to manage Apple (macOS, iOS) devices. JAMF allows the IS department to make policies, apply settings, and distribute applications when needed. Users who would like to requests applications can do by submitting a Help Desk request. You can do so after the IS department sends out an email asking what academic software the campus community plans to use. It is important that the campus community requests software at least once a year. The IS team will use JAMF to fulfill these requests.
You can also submit requests to get University-owned, self-purchased, or free software installed on your University device at any time.
